Miranda’s Quest for the Perfect D&D Party
As Miranda, a marketing assistant, and a budding Dungeons and Dragons enthusiast, I want to find supportive friends to embark on exciting storytelling.
Scenario:
Miranda downloads the DNotD app, eager to explore the world of D&D beyond occasional podcasts she listens to. She opens the app and begins her quest to find the perfect match for her gaming style.
Steps:

Creating a Profile: Miranda starts by creating her character profile, highlighting her interests, beginner status, and preferences for virtual gameplay.

Swiping Through Profiles: She navigates through profiles, swiping left or right to indicate interest in the character that aligns with her beginner-friendly and virtual gaming preferences, as well as preferred way to play and complementary classes to her own. Each user profile is presented as a visually appealing card. Displaying key information such as profile picture,username, exp level and tags/interests.

Match Found!: Miranda swipes right as a gesture to indicate interest. Once she swipes on a character profile who’s user has also swiped right on her character, a match is made! There will be immediate visual feedback that these profiles are a match and Miranda will have the option to continue swiping or start a chat with the matching user.

Initiating Chat: Excited about the potential match, Miranda initiates a chat with that person to discuss their gaming styles and expectations for a potential campaign.

Building your party: Feeling confident in her choice, Miranda locks in the match and now the match continues looking for additional party members as a pair. Once the pair finds a few more matches to lock in, they activate their Party Ready toggle.

Finding your DM: Now that your party is ready, you’ll now swipe as a group through DM profiles and DM’s will see your party as a set group. Matching with a DM will add them to your parties existing chat portal.

Embarking on the Adventure: Once the party and DM are all in the chat, it is time to discuss your game and pick a time to play. Based on the virtual gameplay option, all members of the group will make sure they are aligned on the platform they will use and the session limits for their games and get started with a session 0 or diving right in.
